Sarah Doyle Poetry

I am a poet and short fiction writer, and the Pre-Raphaelite Society's Poet-in-Residence. My work has been published widely in a variety of journals and anthologies, and placed in numerous competitions. I have been a guest reader at many poetry events in and around London, and from 2013 to 2016 I was organiser and co-host of Rhyme & Rhythm Jazz-Poetry Club at Enfield's Dugdale Theatre.

Recent poetry competition credits include:

  • Winner, Brexit in Poetry (Holland Park Press), 2019
  • Winner, WoLF Poetry Competition, 2019
  • Runner-up, Keats-Shelley Poetry Prize, 2019
  • Highly commended, Best Single Poem, Forward Prizes, 2018
  • Highly commended, Ginkgo Prize for Ecopoetry, 2018

I am, with Allen Ashley, co-author of “Dreaming Spheres: Poems of the Solar System”, published in 2014 by World Fantasy Award-winning PS Publishing. In 2018, I co-edited (again, with Allen Ashley) an anthology of creaturely writing, "Humanagerie", published by Eibonvale Press, details of which are available here:

I hold a Creative Writing MA from Royal Holloway College, University of London, and am currently researching a Ph.D in the poetics of meteorology at Birmingham City University. I undertake private critiques of poetry manuscripts; for more information about this, please get in touch via my Contact page.
